Define and own the architecture of enterprise-grade Java systems and set the technical direction for our engineering pods.

Responsibilities
  • Design scalable, secure backend architectures across the Java/Spring ecosystem
  • Set coding standards, review designs, and mentor engineers
  • Make build-vs-buy, integration, and data decisions across services
  • Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers and project managers to turn requirements into technical plans
  • Ensure performance, security, and maintainability across the stack
Requirements
  • 10+ years in Java backend engineering with hands-on architecture ownership
  • Deep Spring/Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and messaging
  • Strong with relational and NoSQL data, caching, and a major cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Proven experience designing for scale, security, and high availability
  • Bonus: experience integrating LLM/AI services into production systems
